Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data True Lambda collects when you use this website, contact us or book a call, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to reply to you, we don't use tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
01Who we are
This website is run by True Lambda (“we”, “us”, “our”), a technology consultancy with teams in the UK and India. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at truelambdasolutions@gmail.com.
02What we collect and why
We only collect what we need. Here is everything, by situation:
| When | What we collect | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| You send the contact form | Your name and email; optionally your company, phone number and the services you're interested in; your message. Alongside it we record your approximate country, device type, browser, operating system, how you found our site and the first page you visited that day. | To reply to you and discuss your project, and to understand which channels bring us enquiries. | Legitimate interests; steps you ask us to take before entering a contract. |
| You book a call | Your name, email, the date and time you choose and any notes you add. | To reserve the slot, create the meeting in our Google Calendar with a Google Meet link, and email you a confirmation. | Steps you ask us to take before entering a contract; legitimate interests. |
| You browse the website | The page you view, the website or campaign tag (utm_source) that referred you, your approximate country, device type, browser, operating system and a daily visitor code (see Cookies and analytics). | To understand how the site is used and improve it. | Legitimate interests. |
| You email us | Your email address, your message and anything you attach. | To respond to you. | Legitimate interests; steps before a contract. |
| Any request to the site | Your IP address, held briefly by our hosting provider in server logs. To limit repeated form submissions we keep a one-way hash of it (never the address itself) for up to a day. | To deliver the website and protect it from spam and abuse. | Legitimate interests. |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are running and improving our business, responding to people who contact us, and keeping our website secure. We have weighed them against your rights and keep the data involved to a minimum. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, we don't send marketing emails without your consent, and we don't make decisions about you by purely automated means.
05International transfers
Because we work across the UK and India and use providers based in the United States, your data may be processed outside the UK and the European Economic Area. When it is, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge where it applies), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for more details.
06How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: deleted automatically 24 months after we receive them. We may delete them sooner once your enquiry is dealt with.
- Emails: kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows. We regularly review and delete emails about enquiries that didn't lead to work, normally within 24 months of our last contact.
- Call bookings: deleted automatically 12 months after the call. The calendar entry for your call may stay in our business calendar; you can ask us to remove it.
- Website analytics: deleted automatically after 26 months. The visitor code changes every day.
- Clients: if you become a client, we keep records for as long as our contract and the law require (for example, financial records for six years).
07How we protect it
All traffic to this website is encrypted using HTTPS. Data is stored with reputable providers, access is limited to the people who need it, and our admin area is password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
08Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or complete it;
- ask us to delete it;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf, if you are in India.
To use any of these rights, email truelambdasolutions@gmail.com. We'll reply within one month and won't charge you. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113), the Data Protection Board of India, or the data protection authority where you live.
09Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
10Other websites
Our site links to other websites and services, such as Google Meet. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for how they handle your data.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we'll highlight them on this page. See also our Terms of service.
